I feel Suicidal. Can you help?

Yes, I can work with you during our counselling sessions. However, if you are in an emergency situation and need immediate help please call the Samaritans on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258. Alternatively get in touch with your GP, dial 999, or contact the Devon Mental Health First Response team on 0808 196 9323.

Do you counsel children?

Yes. I work with 5-18 year olds. I have a DBS certificate and L2 Safeguarding.  The length of session will depend on your child's age and attention span. I require parents of younger children to stay on the premises. This may be relaxed for older children once we all get to know each other, on a case by case basis.

Do you do home visits?

If you are unable to leave your house due to either mental or physical reasons I will consider visiting you at home. Availability of this option will depend on the current workload I am experiencing. I will also charge travelling time/parking costs if incurred.

Do you offer concessionary rates?

No not usually. This is because I volunteer time to Cruse Bereavement instead.

Can I claim fees back through my health insurance?

You will need to contact your provider and ask if I meet their requirements as a registered member of the BACP. I can provide invoices at your request. I am not independently registered with any insurance providers.

Do you charge a cancellation fee?

I try to be as flexible as possible around appointments, but yes, if less than 24 hours notice of cancellation is given my fee will be due. I will waive this in the case of genuine illness or emergency. There will be no fee if I cancel our appointment.
